Reforestation and Agroforestry The Oda Kotoamso Community Agroforestry Project (OCAP) was initiated by Samartex in 1997 and is officially supported by the Development Service of Germany (DED). Some 300 local households on a total acreage of 450ha adjacent to one of the Samartex forest concessions are involved in this very successful project for sustainable resource management and reforestation. Social Activities Samartex's location makes it responsible not only for its 2000 plus employees but for their dependents, averaging approximately 15,000.
